Marketing Director – Specialty Retail (Mat Leave Position – 18 months)

Purpose: To develop and lead the marketing strategy for expanding RQ and complementary iQmetrix solutions into the Specialty Retail market

Accountabilities:

  • Developing the strategy for pricing, messaging, packaging, promotion and selling of our products into the Specialty Retail market
  • Owning relationship with sales and forge strong communication and service level agreement (SLA) between marketing and sales.
  • Keeping the Specialty Retail circle up-to-date with market trends and competition, and keep us several steps ahead of the competition at all times.
  • Performing competitive research to help position us to win more customers.
  • Collecting and analyzing data that supports our solutions in the market to buyers.
  • Providing strategic guidance on identifying and engaging with media, analysts, and influencers.
  • Serving as an evangelist for our products through thought leadership and blogging, social media, and speaking.
  • Generating new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content
  • Generating new leads through various digital marketing strategies and tactics
  • Creating content (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, pitch decks etc) to articulate the benefits of our products and to help generate and close leads (in conjunction with Creative Services)
  • Working with our customers to create case studies and customer success stories
  • Monitoring and reporting to circle members and on the performance of various marketing channels, programs and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with marketing automation and analytics tools (e.g., Hubspot, Google Analytics)
  • Strong creative skills, with the ability to craft messaging and product value propositions
  • Experience planning and managing annual marketing budgets
  • Enjoys collaborating and building strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, fast-growing, ever-changing environment
