Purpose:

As a Technical Lead, you will be a very important member of the SKU Management Team. You will be responsible for owning the technical success of our product information management system that powers our high-impact retail products. This area of our business plays a pivotal part in our ability to not only expand our offerings to our current client base but will open doors to other verticals.

We are currently a small, enthusiastic, lean team, and you will need to wear multiple hats; you could be reading requirements documents and doing research, deciding on the use of technology, writing and reviewing production code, or quickly spiking proof of concepts. You will be working in the early stages of defining and developing towards the long term version of our product information system and will be making very important decisions.

  • A very experienced developer, who has strong fundamentals of programming;
  • Someone who has experience working across many projects, with a solid understanding of iQmetrix's ecosystem;
  • Someone who enjoys working in the early stages of projects where you help define its direction, and constantly need to make decisions;
  • Constantly learning new things and enjoy knowledge sharing;

Accountabilities:

  • Setting the technical vision for the product
  • Stewarding and maintaining the technology architecture for the product
  • Working with the Product Manager (or Product Owner) to create and lead the validated product backlog
  • Assisting the Lead Link to ensure the right team is working on the Product/s.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team
  • Ensuring the software development practises are at their best to deliver high quality features fast.
  • Delivering and executing on a strategy for faster cycle time of high quality software delivery
  • Ensuring product is secure and compliant in relation to iQ standards
  • Delivering product in accordance to Standards outlined by Technical Excellence
  • Ensuring there is clear visibility on the cost of your technical areas on the product
  • Ensuring your product is supported in production and is stable
  • Ensuring your products have clear DR plans in relation to your customers risk and SLAs
  • Representing the technology of the product for customers

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Technical Leadership role
  • Previous experience mentoring other developers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years experience with ASP.NET, C# & MVC
  • Clean, modular, testable and extensible code
  • Some experience with client-side web development
  • Experience working closely with leadership and development teams to decide how things should be built to meet business goals.
  • Experience in mentoring junior to intermediate developers and empowering them to make proper technical decisions without constant supervision.
  • Previous experience building enterprise level software is an asset
  • Experience working on RESTful APIs and class libraries.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and devops on Azure or AWS.
