Whether it's developing custom workflows or supporting incoming requests, we aim to provide reliable, efficient, and client-centered solutions.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Developer to temporarily join our team as a backfill for a team member going on leave. The Staff Developer role is primarily an executing role. Developers in this role are expected to be expert level software developers who are highly productive while they share their knowledge and experience with the team. Developers at this level should be focused on larger, more complex problems and providing technical leadership within their team and the greater development organization. The staff developer at this level operates at the scope of the team level and works more at the systems level of development and works independently with little supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide architectural guidance and ensure alignment with existing systems and long-term strategy.

  • Lead complex, cross-company projects with ambiguous requirements, delivering scalable and resilient solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, solution delivery leads, and stakeholders to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.

  • Break down large initiatives into smaller efforts for development and provide accurate delivery estimates and t-shirt sizing.

  • Review and contribute to high-level design documents and codebases.

  • Drive best practices through code and design reviews and continuously improve code quality.

  • Mentor developers, foster psychological safety, and contribute to the growth of technical capabilities across the team and iQmetrix community.

  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.

  • Influence technology choices, team priorities, and development culture through collaboration and leadership.

  • Write scalable, extensible code with a strong understanding of system-wide impacts on performance and stability.

  • Listen actively and communicate complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders, ensuring clarity across technical and non-technical audiences.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior or staff-level development role.

  • Strong understanding of our current tech stack and internal solutions (internal candidates only).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead architectural design and deliver complex software solutions.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.

  • Experience influencing technical direction and fostering team growth.

What We Offer:

  • Begin your journey with a competitive starting salary!
  • Enjoy peace of mind with a comprehensive benefits package for you and your entire family.
  • Embrace work-life harmony with a flexible hybrid working environment, generous vacation and trusted sick leave program.
  • Invest in your future with our RRSP/401K/PF and Share Ownership plans. What's even better? We offer a match program!
  • We care about your family, offering maternity, adoption, and paternity leave salary top ups as well as ten “New Baby Days” for all parents welcoming a new child into their life.
  • Enjoy a “Cultural Day” off annually to celebrate a day of religious or cultural significance.
  • Give back with up to 6 days of paid time off annually for volunteering or personal learning.
  • We believe in the value of taking time to refresh, re-energize, and reflect on your career journey. Employees are granted a seven-week sabbatical after every seven years of employment!
